W.E. YOUTH THEATRE

Worlds End Productions have created three theatre companies to provide young people with professional standard performance opportunities.

W.E YOUTH THEATRE (Juniors)

For young performers, aged between 10-12 years old who want to focus solely on actor training, our W.E Junior Youth Theatre Company is an opportunity to explore and create and learn new skills. From September - March, company members focus on 'Acting For Stage', coming together at Highlands Secondary School to rehearse and perform plays for production. Each week, the participants will work as actors in a professional environment, culminating in several performances at a local theatre. From March - July, company members explore 'Acting For Screen' & prepare for their LAMDA Acting Solo examinations. Delivered by our specialist directors & theatre makers, our company will develop their confidence, performance repertoire and will work towards a variety of performances for stage and screen. Participation is subject to audition.

W.E YOUTH THEATRE (Seniors)

girl performing on stage in Enfield, north london

The Seniors company is for 13 - 19 year olds who have a keen interest in theatre and wish to gain advanced and additional acting experience. It is especially aimed at those who may be considering a career in acting. The group will then meet weekly on Friday evenings from 6pm-8pm at Highlands Secondary School. From September – February they will rehearse and perform a National Theatre Connections production. From March - July they will rehearse and perform a One Act Play at an Arts Festival, such as The International Youth Arts Festival in London.

This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to challenge themselves and learn new skills. For the last 6 years we have taken part in the National Theatre Connections Festival, which gives young people the opportunity to work on specially commissioned new plays written for their age group. The production is performed in two ‘home performances’ and then transfers for one performance at another professional theatre. Each year 10 companies are then invited to perform their production at the National Theatre in a week long celebration of the commitment and talent of all the young people involved across the country. Company members can also enrol onto our Advanced LAMDA examination classes if they wish to.

Participation is by audition. Places are restricted by the character makeup of the specific production allocated to us by the National Theatre Connections team. View our past productions here.
