W.E. FILM

W.E. Productions have teamed up with award winning film makers and industry professionals to create a unique range of film making and performance opportunities for young people and aspiring professionals.

Six Week Filmmaking Courses

Summer Web Series Filmmaking Course

Our summer film course participants are creating an original three part episodic web series in response to our six week creative online filmmaking course. 'Contagious' is a Dystopian Drama which follows the journey of a group of teenagers who, along with every child under the age of 18, have been confined to their homes because they carry a contagion which is deadly to anyone over 18. They secretly meet on zoom to discuss their suspicion that this might be a Government plot to regulate the youth and re-educate them to ensure that they conform to established social expectations. Devised by our 10-14 year old participants and filmed on Zoom.

Half-Term Film Production Courses

Star in a specially written short film during the school holidays and find out what it’s like being an actor in a film.

Our film production courses are suitable for young aspiring actors between the ages of 8-18 years old, who want to develop and enhance their screen acting repertoire. During the course, participants meet to rehearse and shoot a short film on location (subject to weather and plot), work closely with our team of industry professionals to develop their screen acting as well as experience filming and basic sound and lighting operation. Participants get a DVD copy of the final edit to show all their family and friends.

Some of our short film projects will be entered into film festivals. Previous films have won awards in the PQA national film festival and been finalists in the Swindon Independent Youth Film Festival.
